Barb’s Comment: There is, indeed, more to life than being alive. I am going to push this point further and declare that safety is both vastly overrated and generally un attainable. That means we might be knocking ourselves out to play it safe and avoid danger only to have the foundation knocked out from under us despite our best efforts to prevent it. Sudden losses of job, relationships, or health make it abundantly clear that we cannot create or ensure safety. So let go of the desire to survive no matter what and aim for living life full-throttle and flat out. Take it to the limit…
